Epsilon Systems is seeking a temporary Helper/Fire Watch in National City, CA.

Summary: The Helper/Fire Watch will perform tasks which require mainly physical abilities and effort involving minimal specialized skill.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Loads and unloads trucks, and other conveyances.

• Moves supplies and materials to proper location by wheelbarrows or hand trucks.

• Stacks materials for storage or binning.

• Collects refuse and salvageable materials.

• Moves and arranges heavy pieces of furniture, machinery, and/or equipment.

• Uses hand and powered tools of the trade to perform such tasks as cutting holes and cutting threads on piping.

• Supplies, lifts, and holds material, and tools for journey level workers.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• 1-2 years previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.

• General knowledge of basic hand tools.

• Own basic hand tools.

• General knowledge of work site/shipboard protocol.

• Able to obtain Fire Watch Certification

• Willing to learn a new trade.

• Able to obtain and maintain access to U.S. military and or/government installations.

Preferences:

• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program.

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is $16.50 to $17.00/hr. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

ADA Notations:

• Frequently handles heavy objects. Able to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lbs. in weight.

• Must have visual, manual and finger dexterity; able to grasp, manipulate, handle small objects.

• Able to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or hold objects.

• Works inside in areas that are usually dusty, dirty, or greasy and outside, sometimes in bad weather. Work may be performed in extreme weather conditions; heat, cold, wet.
