Job Summary:

RWJBH is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for Variable shifts on the Surgical Sub Specialty department at the New Brunswick campus.

This is a consultative role that covers Plastic Surgery and Otolaryngology ENT consults.

Role includes rotational nights, weekends, and holidays.

This is a primary night position with some rotation to evenings and days.

Essential Functions

• Candidate should possess effective time management and have a desire to learn procedures
• While there is NO OPERATING ROOM required, this is a procedure heavy service
• Must have manual dexterity to perform suturing and use scopes
• Understanding the techniques of primary and secondary closures of acute wounds is preferred but willing to teach
• The service is very busy and requires a person with high energy and great attitude,

Education

• Advanced Practice Nurses must be certified in Family due the pediatric population seen on this service,
• Physician Assistants must be a graduate from an accredited PA program,

Experience

• 1-3 years of Surgical ENT Plastics experience preferred, will consider the right new graduate,

• RNFA certification optional
• BLS required
• ACLS required
