About This Position
Description:
- Properly operate the dishwasher to ensure thorough cleaning and proper handling of all dishwasher safe items.
- Monitors temperature gauge on dishwasher to assure proper water temperature is maintained. Report any discrepancies to supervisor.
- Washes large items in compartment sink, according to established procedures, as well as state and federal guidelines for Food Service Sanitation.
- Handles all china, silverware, equipment, etc., in a conscientious manner to assure there is no breakage.
- Follows daily work assignments/schedule as posted.
- Maintains cleanliness in the work area, and in all storage areas.
- Accepts deliveries, checks invoices against delivered items prior to signing for the shipment, and carefully stores them in the appropriate storage areas.
- Delivers, retrieves, separates and washes all trays, dishes, and carts
- Assists the cooks when asked to bring items out of storage.
- Removes trash from the department and cleans trash cans thoroughly as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- No experience necessary
