About This Position
The Pool Attendant is responsible for ensuring the resort’s pool area is clean, safe, and welcoming for all guests. This role provides friendly and attentive service, monitors pool activity to promote guest safety, maintains cleanliness and organization of the pool deck, and assists guests with towels, seating, and amenities.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesGreet guests courteously, offering assistance with poolside seating, towels, and amenities.
Monitor the pool area for cleanliness, safety, and guest needs, ensuring compliance with resort rules and regulations.
Maintain the cleanliness of the pool deck, lounge chairs, cabanas, and surrounding areas, including trash removal and towel collection.
Set up and break down pool furniture, umbrellas, and cabanas each day.
Distribute fresh towels and collect used towels throughout the day.
Monitor and report any maintenance issues with pool equipment, furniture, or facilities to the appropriate department.
Support safe pool use by enforcing pool rules and reporting unsafe behavior or hazards.
Provide accurate information to guests regarding pool services, resort amenities, and local attractions.
Assist with poolside food and beverage service as needed (optional based on property operations).
Participate in regular safety and service training sessions.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Responsibilities
Previous hospitality, recreation, or customer service experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Ability to remain attentive and responsive in an outdoor, warm-weather environment.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and to stand or walk for extended periods.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred (required in some jurisdictions; resort may provide training).
