Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional to support the end-to-end physician payment cycle for our clinic operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely, accurate, and contract-compliant payments to healthcare providers, while maintaining strong internal controls and contributing to ongoing process improvements.
What you will be doing:
- Obtain physician’s billing and remittance records from EMR and the clinic
- Reconcile billing claims from EMRs against cash receipts to support accurate payment processing
- Calculate payments to physicians in accordance with contractual agreements and payment models
- Set up and modify EFT templates and manage banking information
- Prepare and post journal entries related to physician payments
- Prepare and distribute physician statements each pay period
- Assist with monthly reconciliations and reporting of physician compensation
- Review and assess current payment processes and internal controls; recommend improvements
- Provide responsive support to clinic operations and physicians on payment-related inquiries
- Ensure financial activities align with organizational goals and reporting standards
- Perform other finance duties and ad hoc tasks as assigned
You have:
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Business, Commerce, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Payroll, or a finance support role
- Experience with physician or contractor payments is an asset
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- High sense of urgency, accountability, and time management
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Prior experience in healthcare is a strong asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
- Experience working with EMRs is an asset
- Experience with banking platforms and ERP systems an asset
