Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional to support the end-to-end physician payment cycle for our clinic operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely, accurate, and contract-compliant payments to healthcare providers, while maintaining strong internal controls and contributing to ongoing process improvements.

What you will be doing:

• Obtain physician’s billing and remittance records from EMR and the clinic
• Reconcile billing claims from EMRs against cash receipts to support accurate payment processing
• Calculate payments to physicians in accordance with contractual agreements and payment models
• Set up and modify EFT templates and manage banking information
• Prepare and post journal entries related to physician payments
• Prepare and distribute physician statements each pay period
• Assist with monthly reconciliations and reporting of physician compensation
• Review and assess current payment processes and internal controls; recommend improvements
• Provide responsive support to clinic operations and physicians on payment-related inquiries
• Ensure financial activities align with organizational goals and reporting standards
• Perform other finance duties and ad hoc tasks as assigned

You have:

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Business, Commerce, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Payroll, or a finance support role
• Experience with physician or contractor payments is an asset
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
• High sense of urgency, accountability, and time management
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Prior experience in healthcare is a strong asset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
• Experience working with EMRs is an asset
• Experience with banking platforms and ERP systems an asset
