Journeyman Construction Plumbers - Commercial at Mako Oilfield Services LLC – Brownsville, Texas

We are currently hiring Licensed Journeyman Plumbers with at least 2 years of in-field experience on commercial construction sites. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems on new construction projects while ensuring compliance with plumbing codes, safety standards, and job specifications.

• Install, test, and repair plumbing systems including water supply lines, waste systems, vent piping, and gas lines as well as layouts..
• Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and building plans to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
• Perform pipe cutting, threading, soldering, gluing, and assembly of various piping materials (PVC, copper, cast iron, PEX, etc.).
• Ensure all plumbing work meets local and state plumbing codes and job specifications.
• Collaborate with site foremen, general contractors, and other trades on job coordination and scheduling.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.

• Valid Texas Journeyman Plumber License (or equivalent if outside Texas).
• Minimum 2 years of in-field plumbing experience on construction job sites (commercial preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Must be physically capable of lifting, climbing, standing, and working in a construction environment.
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
• Must pass drug screening and background check.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
• Construction job sites – outdoor and indoor environments.
• Exposure to varying weather conditions.
• Must be comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces as required by the project.
