Position Summary:
The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
The CDD Nurse Educator serves as the nurse supervisor for the national evidence-based home visiting program, Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP). This position provides clinical leadership and operational direct support for a team of eight Nurse Home Visitors, ensuring implementation of the NFP model with fidelity and in compliance with state, federal, and National Service Office (NSO) regulations.
The Nurse Educator is responsible for monitoring program quality and productivity, overseeing accurate data entry and reporting to meet state and national benchmarks, and fostering reflective practice and professional growth among staff. Key responsibilities include conducting weekly one-on-one clinical supervision sessions, leading structured case conferences, performing joint home visits, and managing client caseload assignments. The Nurse Educator also coordinates and ensures outreach efforts across clinics, hospitals, and community partners to generate referrals for the program. In addition to supervisory responsibilities, the Nurse Educator maintains a small caseload and provides direct services as needed. This position meets regularly with the NFP National Service Office (NSO) consultant and engages in support to maintain model fidelity. Further responsibilities include building and sustaining community partnerships, ensuring adherence to model elements and contract requirements, supporting staff recruitment, onboarding, and training, and promoting a strengths-based, client-centered team culture. The Nurse Supervisor may also take on other responsibilities as needed to ensure the overall success of the program. The Nurse Educator works collaboratively with, and receives supervision from, the Director. The RN will need a valid driver's license andaccess to a reliable vehicle for local travel to meetings and home visits.

Additional Requirements: Passing a background check with fingerprinting is a requirement for this position. The RN will need a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for local travel to meetings and home visits.
