Compactor & Baler Repair Service Technician at Pro Baler Services Inc – Salt Lake City, Utah

This role directly reports to the Service Department Manager and works closely with the Service Department Equipment Repair Team to maintain and repair recycling equipment throughout the Wasatch Front. Technicians are crucial to keeping our customers’ recycling equipment and programs running efficiently.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Performing all physical duties related to providing maintenance, service, and troubleshooting a variety of recycling equipment (balers, compactors, and conveyors) at customer locations, and maintaining a clean service van and its inventory
• Performing all activities related to reading mechanical assembly drawings, electrical, and pneumatic schematics
• Filling out all paperwork related to each service ticket and day-to-day field technician duties
• Communicating clearly and effectively with clients and team members to provide excellent internal and external customer service

• 1+ years’ experience reading mechanical assembly drawings, electrical, and pneumatic schematics
• 1+ years’ experience troubleshooting equipment to identify common problems
• Ability to use a voltmeter and pressure flow gauges to review and validate circuit amperage, voltage, and pressure levels
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability and willingness to travel 25% of the time
• Ability to take feedback from customers and team members openly and actively work to improve skill sets and behaviors
• Field service technician experience is preferred, but not mandatory
• Must have a valid US-issued driver’s license, clean driving record, and clean criminal history
• Ability to pass a drug test
