About This Position

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Loan Officer underwrites and processes new loan requests; servicing existing portfolio and its management.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete the underwriting of the application to include the analysis of applicant’s financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine if loan requests meet the bank’s lending criteria. Evaluate the sources of repayment on loan requests and conduct overall applicants’ global financial analysis.
  • Underwrite Credit Memo to be presented for approval to loan committee on new loans, renewals, and modifications.
  • Review loan requests for eligibility and preliminary due diligence.
  • Conduct assessment of the applicant and assist in resolving outstanding questions related to transaction.
  • Assist Branch Managers and Marketing Officers with obtaining and following up on proper required documentations and pending matters.
  • Upon loan approval, coordinate with Note Department for preparation of loan documents, follow-up pending items necessary for funding.
  • Continuously maintain and follow up on assigned loan portfolio and update Credit Administration and loan manager regarding compliance with loan covenant and conditions.
  • Oversee and managed the assigned loan portfolio with direct communication with customer and assigned Branch Manager and Marketing Officer.
  • Provide customer service and assist in taking proper actions to resolve complaints from customers.
  • Complies fully with all Bank policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Code of Conduct, and etc.). Must complete all required training.

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Intermediate knowledge of credit analysis
  • Ability to work on multiple loans simultaneously
  • Excellent time management
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Effective written, verbal, and organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited 4-year University
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in lending
