Position Overview: This will be an ever-evolving role, as the company develops as a startup and continues to grow, so will this position and its responsibilities. The Loadbank Technician role will execute the day-to-day operations needs of the business, including but not limited to the rental operations and the fleet management operations.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow the companies Quality management system that includes processes and procedures to deliver the best quality equipment and services we can.
  • Utilize a LEAN (5S) methodology to organization, keep clean and eƯicient workspaces.
  • Receive, inspect, test, and maintain both rental equipment as it returns, and fleet management equipment as needed.
  • Prepare equipment orders for shipment and load equipment as needed for shipment.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • In the field technician service on customers sites as needed (required travel).
  • Represent Patriot Power Services and demonstrate to customers our professionalism and expertise as leaders in the industry.
  • Keep Track of inventory and work orders using company software.
  • Order supplies and parts as needed.
  • Collaborate with other team members to execute goals and objectives.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Continuously improve, learn and adapt to the changing environment of a customer focused rental and management startup business.

Preferred Skills:
  • Rental experience a plus
  • Load bank, generator, or other equipment repair work preferred.
  • Electrical training preferred
  • Troubleshooting skills preferred
  • Schematic reading skills preferred
  • Field technician work a plus
  • Data center or Commissioning knowledge a plus.
  • Warehouse experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Requirements
  • The ability and willingness to pass background and clearance checks to enter customer sites.
  • Must be able to travel
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs repetitively.
  • Must be able to bend, push, pull, climb, exert physical energy in a warehouse setting.
  • Valid drivers license/ must be able to be reasonably insured to drive company vehicles.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Driver’s License Requirement:For roles that require on-site presence or travel between work locations as an essential function of the position, candidates must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license appropriate for the role and be eligible to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with applicable laws.
Communication Skills:Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a professional work environment, including preparing written reports and documentation, conveying information clearly to team members, clients, and stakeholders, and responding appropriately to verbal and written communications related to job duties.
Physical Requirements and Work EnvironmentThis position may operate in a combination of office, remote, and active construction site environments, depending on project assignment and business needs. Employees must be able to perform essential job functions safely and effectively in both professional and field conditions.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, twist, bend, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods while navigating uneven, unpaved, or obstructed terrain when on-site.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to travel to and between job sites and access all areas of an active construction zone, including raised platforms, scaffolding, and confined spaces.
  • Must be able to tolerate outdoor weather conditions and exposure to dust, noise, vibrations, and construction-related odors.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and other personnel while maintaining situational awareness in high-activity environments.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety vests, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots are required when visiting or working on active construction sites.
  • This role requires visual acuity sufficient to read drawings, specifications, and safety signage, and to observe site activity.
