Memory Care Activities Assistants

Pineapple House of Sapphire Lakes in beautiful Naples, Florida, is dedicated to providing compassionate and personalized care to seniors with dementia and other cognitive needs. We are seeking two enthusiastic and compassionate team members to join our Memory Care department. Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in recreational therapy activities tailored to the interests and abilities of residents with memory care needs

- Provide motivational and inspirational activities that promote enjoyment, fulfillment, and social engagement

- Assess residents’ individual needs and preferences to create personalized activity plans

- Foster a positive and supportive environment that encourages participation and enhances residents’ well-being

- Document residents’ participation and progress in activities, and communicate updates to the care team

- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming activity space

Skills and Qualifications:

- Prior experience in recreational therapy, activity coordination, or a related field preferred

- Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude towards seniors with cognitive impairments

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Creativity and enthusiasm for designing engaging activities

- Ability to work flexible part time hours including some weekends

- Knowledge of dementia and memory care best practices is a plus

- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in activity coordination or therapeutic recreation are advantageous
