Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Working closely with the Controller and cross-functional teams, you will help manage financial reporting, reconciliation processes, and operational accounting tasks that support business growth. The position requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Accountabilities
  • Perform month-end close activities, including reconciling general ledger accounts, maintaining accounting schedules, and reviewing financial data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, check runs, and corporate credit card transaction reviews.
  • Review and post payroll-related journal entries and employee expense reports while ensuring compliance with internal reimbursement policies.
  • Support daily accounting operations, including cash transactions, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Coordinate with third-party accounting partners regarding intercompany transactions for multiple subsidiaries, including reconciliations, consolidation activities, and elimination entries.
  • Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements and identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records and reports.
  • Maintain and update company-wide fixed asset and lease schedules.
  • Support external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Prepare supporting materials for federal, state, and local tax filings in collaboration with external accounting firms.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, processes, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to interpret accounting policies and provide guidance on financial and operational matters.
  • Assist with special projects and additional accounting tasks as needed.

Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 7+ years of experience in financial accounting or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency with the broader Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with accounting software such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar financial systems.
  • Proven experience managing intercompany transactions, consolidation processes, and subsidiary eliminations.
  • Familiarity with monthly close processes and financial statement preparation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multiple departments.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
