Position Summary:

The Consumer & Small Business Loan Documentation Specialist is responsible for preparing consumer and small business loan documentation in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner. This position will have a secondary responsibility in reviewing consumer loan documentation after completion by another Consumer Loan Documentation Specialist and Loan Documentation Coordinator.

Essential Functions:

Prepare loan documentation for all submitted consumer and small business loans in a timely, accurate and efficient manner in accordance with ENB, state and regulatory compliance requirements

  • Ensure loan documentation is prepared in time for the scheduled loan closing date to be met
  • Prepare approximately 40-50% of all submitted consumer/small business loan requests each month (the majority of the loan requests prepared should be for small business requests)
  • Prepare consumer and small business loan documentation with a minimum 80% accuracy each month
  • Prepare HomeLine Disclosure packages and mail out to customers within a designated time frame
  • Review and verify that submitted consumer and small business loan requests are complete and accurate with all required information and/or documentation
  • Review different types of business entity documentation including but not limited to operating agreements, partnership agreements, and by-laws.
  • Request and obtain any missing information and/or documentation from the appropriate person(s) and/or department(s)
  • Review supporting consumer and small business loan documentation contained within the customer loan request in order to complete consumer and small business loan documents accurately including but not limited to credit actions, lien searches, flood searches, credit reports, and insurance
  • Provides back up support when needed to review consumer loan documentation after completion by another Consumer Loan Documentation Specialist and Loan Documentation Coordinator for accuracy and to verify documents have been completed in accordance with loan approval
  • Assist Consumer Loan Documentation Specialist with questions relating to their Consumer loan request
  • Provides back up support when needed to provide feedback in the form of an email to the Consumer loan Documentation Specialist, Loan Documentation Coordinator, and Department Supervisor after reviewing completed Consumer loan documents.
  • May assist in training newly hired Consumer Loan Documentation Specialists
  • Print and/or save Commercial supporting loan documents including but not limited to Credit Actions, Commercial Loan Documentation Forms, and Commitment Fee Guidelines to create a Commercial Loan Request folder for the Commercial Loan Specialists.
  • Prepare Commercial Notices including but not limited to incomplete letters, freeze notices, denial notices and landlord waivers
  • Maintain understanding of bank lending policies and procedures and keep up to date on all related regulatory requirements

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Degree or GED required. Consumer & Small Business Loan documentation experience required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in lending support. Thorough knowledge and understanding of Consumer and Commercial loan regulations, loan application policies and procedures.
  • Technical knowledge and proficiency using loan system along with proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and OneNote)
  • Knowledge of banking principles, documentation, services and operations
  • Ability to effectively prioritize submitted consumer loan requests
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced department
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize lending software systems and Microsoft programs to perform the creation of loan documents

Supervisory Requirements:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional work environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, monitors, mouse, keyboard, phones, printers, scanners, photocopiers, filing cabinets, calculator, and fax machines. Due to physical location of this position, phone ringing, and people conversing, it may be difficult to hear at times and therefore easily distracting.

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds including standard computer and copy paper boxes, and must be able to open and close filing cabinets and drawers.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Flexibility of schedule to meet business needs is required.
