Position Summary:The Leave of Absence Administrator role is part of the HR team at SPS Commerce and supports employees and leaders through the day-to-day administration of our leave programs. This role helps ensure leaves are managed accurately, consistently, and in compliance with company policy and applicable regulations.

In this position, you’ll work closely with employees to guide them through the leave process, answer questions, and coordinate required documentation. You’ll also collaborate closely with Payroll to ensure pay, benefits, and time tracking are handled correctly during leave periods. What You'll Do:
  • Act as a trusted resource and serves as the primary contact for all employees regarding leave of absence requests, including FMLA, parental leave, maternity leave, short-term disability (STD), long-term disability (LTD) and applicable State Paid Family Leaves, Global offering guidance and clarity.
  • Supports employee education, awareness and engagement with benefit, leave and wellbeing plans and programs to promote utilization and employee wellbeing.
  • Support plan, policy, and program administration for U.S. and Global employee leave plans. Collaborating with vendors to assure seamless enrollment and coverage, access to and accuracy of plan information, and timely resolution of claims and coverage questions or concerns.
  • Manage and administer employee leave and accommodation requests, including short and long-term disability, coordination with State and Local PFML, Military, FMLA, ADA, Global Agencies and vendors and all other requests for leave.
  • Coordinate with US based, Met Life claims and leave administrators to monitor and track vendor processes to support responsive, timely and accurate claim administration, benefits processing, time tracking and payment.
  • Facilitate communication with Employee, Global and US Leave Administration Agencies/ Vendor, Manager, HR and payroll teams to ensure proper communication and transition before, during, and after leaves
  • Process leaves timecard(s) and payments on a bi-weekly basis, including but not limited to short-term disability, PTO, State PFML, Global location agencies and vendors, Paid Parental Leave, Paid Maternity Leave and unpaid time.
  • Proactively check in with employees on extended leaves to maintain connection and support their transition back to work.
  • Partner with Benefits team leadership and legal counsel for complex or escalated leave cases.
  • Provide education and guidance to employees and leadership on leave policies and procedures
  • Support the coordination and management of HR programs, initiatives and events or other duties as requested or assigned.
Where You'll Work: This role is hybrid with regular in-office presence out of our headquarters in Minneapolis, MN. We Succeed Together through in-person collaboration, balanced with remote work to provide flexibility.
What You'll Bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ year of experience in Human Resources, administrative support, or customer service
  • Knowledge of human resource concepts, practices, procedures, and benefit regulations
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize to meet objectives and deadlines
    Preferred Experience:
  • Knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements to support management of employee leaves including FMLA, ADA, and EEOC
  • Experience with global benefits or human resources management
  • Experience administering Employee Wellbeing programs and initiatives
What We Offer:
At SPS Commerce, we are committed to ensuring that each employee's compensation reflects their unique experiences, performance, and skills in their role. The pay range for this role considers several factors, including education, relevant skills, work history, certifications, location, and more.
The hourly pay range for this role is: $28.31- $42.50. The actual pay offered will be determined based on the factors listed above and may fall anywhere within the range.
