RN Staff at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

The Cancer Center in the Outpatient Chemotherapy Department is seeking an experienced Oncology staff RN who likes to work in a fast-paced, high-stress atmosphere. The individual will be responsible for the following duties, but they are not limited to: computer charting, administering and teaching patients and their families' chemotherapy, lab draws from implanted lines, therapeutic phlebotomy, IV Iron, IVIG, IV fluids and various IV meds and infusions. The RN will need to have good assessment skills, a strong ability to multitask and manage time. One year of Oncology/Med Surg experience preferred and OCN certification encouraged within 2 years of hire. The individual needs to be flexible with hours: 0700–1530 hrs. Lab days, rotating weekend and holiday coverage.
