About This Position

Reports To: Accounting Manager / Senior Accountant

Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant supports the accounting team by handling day-to-day accounting operations, reconciliations, reporting, and inventory management for our regional offices. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial data, timely reporting, and smooth execution of accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Take ownership of inventory cycle counts and reconciliations.
  • Coordinate with branch managers to resolve inventory questions or discrepancies.
  • Perform inventory analysis and support adjustments for reporting.
  • Handle routine lease and fixed asset accounting under guidance of Senior Accountant.
  • Prepare journal entries and support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Support intercompany and reclassification entries across locations.
  • Assist with audits and respond to inquiries as needed.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and ad hoc accounting projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience with demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of key accounting processes.
  • Exposure to lease accounting, fixed assets, inventory management, or multi-state sales tax a plus.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Real Green, Service Titan, Sage Intacct a plus) and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid setting.

  • Remote –occasional travel (less than 10%)
