About the Role:
The Cashier plays a key role in delivering a positive guest experience at Plum Market Food Service – Eppley Airfield. This position is responsible for accurately processing transactions, handling payments, and providing friendly, efficient service to travelers. Cashiers are also expected to maintain a clean and organized register area and support other team members during peak service times.

What you will do:

• Greet guests warmly and provide outstanding customer service.
• Accurately ring up food and beverage purchases using the point-of-sale system.
• Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with accuracy and care.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout counter and surrounding areas.
• Restock front-of-house items, utensils, and grab-and-go products as needed.
• Answer guest questions regarding menu items, ingredients, and services.
• Assist with basic prep, stocking, or cleaning tasks during slower periods.
• Follow all airport and company policies regarding safety, security, and sanitation.

What you will bring:

• Previous cashier or retail experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass an airport background check and qualify for badging.
• Experience in a fast-paced retail or food service environment.
• Familiarity with airport operations or customer service for travelers.
• Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
