About This Position

Equivity is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Paralegal with a strong background in document drafting to support attorneys handling active estate planning matters.
This role is ideal for someone who regularly works in platforms such as WealthCounsel, ElderCounsel, or similar drafting systems, and is comfortable preparing customized estate planning documents with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
In this role, you will work as part of a dedicated, long-term team of legal professionals, partnering directly with attorneys while being fully supported by Equivity’s internal operations and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft estate planning documents, including revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives
- Utilize WealthCounsel, ElderCounsel, or similar platforms to generate, customize, and revise estate planning documents
- Prepare ancillary documents, including certifications of trust, funding instructions, and asset transfer documents
- Review client information and attorney notes to ensure documents are accurate, complete, and aligned with client goals
- Assist with complex or customized drafting scenarios, including trust provisions, amendments, and restatements
- Coordinate document revisions and finalize planning packages for execution
- Support post-execution tasks, including estate funding, document tracking, and follow-up
- Organize and maintain estate planning files and ensure all documentation is properly stored and accessible
- Communicate with attorneys and team members to ensure drafting workflows move efficiently
About You
- Minimum 3 years of estate planning paralegal experience
- Strong experience with estate planning drafting software (WealthCounsel, ElderCounsel, or similar)
- Experience in probate or elder law a plus
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum availability of 20 hours/week
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe
- Experience with Clio or similar systems is a plus
- Availability during standard business hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
- Windows-based computer preferred
- Availability and responsiveness within 1 hour during standard business hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
