About This Position
Job Summary
As a Corporate Tax Manager, youll drive our tax teams growth and strategy. We seek someone with solid federal and state tax experience and proven leadership skills. Reporting to the VP of Tax, youll enjoy opportunities for advancement in a collaborative environment.
This role is for you if you are an experienced tax professional who excels in leadership and is ready to help drive growth and operational excellence in a dynamic corporate tax team. You are:
- Skilled in federal and state tax compliance, including return preparation and review
- Experienced in managing tax provision processes and collaborating with consultants and teams
- Able to supervise, train, and mentor staff while promoting a positive work environment
- Organized and detail-oriented in handling deadlines, journal entries, and estimated payments
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting
- 6+ years in Federal 1120 income tax compliance and ASC 740
- Active CPA license
- Experience leading a tax team
- Public accounting required, and international tax experience preferred
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tax Compliance & Reporting
- Review the federal and state income and franchise tax return in-house preparation.
- Manage the annual ASC 740 tax provision process with external tax consultants.
- Track filing deadlines and delegate resources appropriately.
- Review monthly posting of tax journal entries to the general ledger.
- Review taxable income estimates for purposes of quarterly estimated tax payments.
Leadership & Team Development
- Supervise, train, and mentor tax staff.
- Build relationships with other Aimbridge teams to perform necessary tax duties and promote a collaborative working environment.
Tax Research & Process Improvement
- Research and stay current on U.S. tax law.
- Identify and implement process efficiencies.
Issue Resolution & Special Projects
- Resolve notices and audits with tax authorities.
- Manage special projects and duties as assigned.
