Acting as a key liaison across product, technology, business, and policy teams, you will drive internal alignment, develop strategic partnerships, and ensure seamless adoption of interoperability solutions. You will play a central part in establishing the organization as a leader in national interoperability while mentoring teams and influencing cross-functional product roadmaps.

Accountabilities:
  • Define and champion long-term strategies for national health information exchange participation, aligning with business objectives and clinical performance goals.

  • Act as the primary internal liaison for product, technology, policy, and business teams, translating regulatory and technical standards into actionable initiatives.

  • Represent the organization in national and regional interoperability governance bodies, standards groups, and industry trade associations to influence policy and adoption of data exchange frameworks.

  • Lead the planning, negotiation, and execution of strategic partnerships with HIEs, EHR vendors, payers, and consultants to advance interoperability in value-based care.

  • Guide enterprise measurement, KPI development, and technology roadmap decisions to ensure effective integration of interoperability solutions.

  • Drive adoption of standards-based interoperability, accreditation, and certification initiatives (e.g., NCQA, TEFCA, Carequality) to support organizational leadership in healthcare data exchange.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in health technology leadership, with a focus on health information exchange.

  • 8+ years of experience negotiating and leading partnerships with payers, providers, vendors, regulatory bodies, or HIEs.

  • Deep technical expertise in healthcare data standards, including HL7, FHIR, and USCDI.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence national interoperability initiatives and participate in industry standards or governance groups.

  • Knowledge of healthcare privacy and security regulations (HIPAA, patient consent, sensitive data rules).

  • Proven skills in translating complex federal regulations into actionable business and product strategies.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking, with experience aligning interoperability efforts to clinical workflows, quality metrics, and value-based care programs.

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level presentations and cross-functional collaboration.

Benefits:

  • Flexible work schedules with remote work options.

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage for employees, dependents, and domestic partners.

  • Generous paid time off, including 21 days of PTO in the first year, 11 holidays, and two volunteer days.

  • Parental leave: 12 weeks paid for all new parents.

  • Six-week paid sabbatical after six years of service.

  • 401(k) plan with up to 4% employer match.

  • Stock options and equity participation.

  • Educational Assistance and Clinical Employee Reimbursement Programs.

  • Supportive and inclusive company culture that values diversity, collaboration, and professional growth.
