This internship opportunity is part of the IT Finance Strategic Initiatives team supporting the recent acquisition of American Health from Allstate. Using the complex financial structure of the American Health (AH) IT you will help establish a streamlined, consistent and repeatable process that is scalable across all of IT Finance and Analytics, supported by a standardized budgeting and forecasting template that bridges reporting actuals from Workday and forecasting uploads into Apptio. Additional opportunity to build a standardized, repeatable reporting and forecasting process for Azure Cloud for American Health IT spend if internship time allows.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support the monthly actuals review, reconciliation and full year forecast for the American Health IT financials through various, large data extracts from core financial systems (Workday, Apptio)
  • Operationalize loading and reviewing of forecasting, budget, and actuals data in Apptio IT Planning
  • Develop a standardized reporting and forecasting template, with integrated load file, optimized for both finance and non-finance end users
  • Ensure scalability of new reporting and forecasting template through tight partnership with the broader IT Finance and Analytics team
  • Establish and document a process, in partnership with the TBM Analytics team, to validate financials from Workday tie to Apptio for AH Financials
  • Opportunity for secondary deliverable to develop forecasting process for Azure cloud spend if time allows

Qualifications

  • Undergrad or graduate student studying in the areas of Finance, Accounting or Economics.
  • Experience and/or exposure IT financial management practices such as budgeting, forecasting, cost allocations, and operational performance analysis
  • Advanced level proficiency in Excel required, data integration and Power BI experience a plus
  • Strong project ownership and organizational skills: self-directed and capable of managing collaboratively without formal authority to achieve results through others; express ideas clearly and persuasively in oral, written, and presentation forms

Salary Range:

Comp Range $20.50 - $23.75 depending on years completed
