We’re hiring a Maintenance Tech/Sanitation Specialist in our DC Commissary!
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician / Sanitation Specialist to support facility operations by maintaining equipment, ensuring building systems operate efficiently, and upholding strict sanitation and cleanliness standards. This role combines hands-on maintenance responsibilities with facility sanitation oversight to ensure a safe, clean, and fully operational work environment.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, proactive in identifying issues, and committed to maintaining a sanitary and well-maintained facility.

Your core responsibilities will be:
Maintenance
- Perform routine preventative maintenance for facility and equipment.
- Perform basic/general repairs as needed.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and building systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues and implement timely repairs.
- Inspect facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Maintain maintenance logs, service records, and repair documentation.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility emergencies.
- Maintain sanitation standards throughout the facility, including work areas, equipment, restrooms, and common spaces.
- Perform scheduled deep cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and sanitation supplies.
- Follow company sanitation protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor sanitation conditions and report potential health or safety concerns.
- Support sanitation during operational shutdowns, changeovers, or scheduled cleanings.
You’ll be a great addition to the CYM team if you have:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities management, or sanitation preferred.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and building maintenance.
- Familiarity with sanitation standards and safe chemical handling.
- Ability to use maintenance tools and cleaning equipment safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodation. Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and maintenance equipment.
