Join our team as an Area Director of Sales!

The Area Director of Sales is the all-star coach rallying the sales team to victory! With energy and vision, the Area Director of Sales shapes a winning sales culture and powers up portfolio performanceplaying a key role in driving Aimbridge Hospitalitys total revenue success.

KEY SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Revenue Rocket & Sales Strategist: Coordinate all group, transient, and catering sales effortsincluding sales automation and database managementto boost revenue across the portfolio. Develop, recommend, and drive annual budgets and marketing plans to maximize hotel rate, occupancy, and food & beverage opportunities.
  • Market Maestro & Opportunity Explorer: Initiate sales trips to key feeder markets, proactively conduct outside sales calls, and lead sales tours to attract new business. Keep a finger on the pulse of market trends and top accounts, using insights to set winning strategies and negotiate contracts that benefit all hotels in your cluster.
  • Team Champion & Training Coach: Lead the charge in training staff to spot and act on every sales opportunityempowering your team to shine! Manage hiring, coaching, reviews, and team motivation to build an all-star sales crew, collaborating with hotel leadership and corporate HR along the way.
  • Community Connector & Communication Pro: Stay visible and engaged within your local community and industry organizations, fostering strong partnerships both inside and outside your collection of hotels. Champion open lines of communication with internal teams and marketing partners to achieve big-picture goals.
  • Operations Leader & Aimbridge Ambassador: Attend and lead meetings, travel as needed, and ensure sales standards and company policies are always met. Step in for the General Manager when needed, delivering guidance and support to keep operations running smoothly and the Aimbridge spirit alive!

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 4 years of hotel sales experience, or a 4-year college degree plus 2 years related experience, or a 2-year degree plus 4 years hotel sales experience.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Valid state drivers license.
  • Clear communicator and quick decision-maker.
  • Handles pressure, stays objective, and solves problems effectively.
  • Adapts to complex information, resolves concerns, and understands financial basics.

Our Midtown Nashville hotel is conveniently located of West End Ave., near Vanderbilt University and also, a short drive down West End Ave. will connect you to I-65 or I-440.
