About This Position

Overview:

The Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining heavy machinery and equipment on construction sites. Your primary objective will be to execute assigned tasks with precision, efficiency, and safety, contributing to the successful completion of construction projects.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Operate heavy machinery and equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and cranes according to project requirements and safety protocols.

Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Safely transport materials, debris, and equipment around the construction site using designated machinery.

Collaborate with the construction team to understand project objectives, timelines, and priorities.

Follow blueprints, schematics, and instructions to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.

Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and conducting pre-operational equipment checks.

Monitor machinery operations to identify and address any malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the construction site, including proper storage of equipment and materials.

Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in construction operations.

Other duties, as assigned.

Direct communication with management for any safety/ incident situations.

Safety inspection sheet on daily basis

USA: Dig Alert and having knowledge of utilities identified prior to do any underground work and removing all demo required.

Always having a Spotter and communicating with each other through “Radio”

Tagging all utilities that are live or hot

Required Skills & Abilities:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or vocational training in heavy equipment operation preferred.

Proven experience operating heavy machinery in a construction or similar environment.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and procedures.

Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor and operate heavy machinery for extended periods.

Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.

Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Flexibility to work irregular hours, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Commitment to upholding quality standards and meeting project deadlines.

Other Requirements:

Must have a valid Driver’s license and clean driving record.

Must be able to work overtime, as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds or more.

Capability to climb onto and off of heavy machinery, scaffolding, ladders, and elevated work platforms safely.

Proficiency in manipulating controls, levers, joysticks, and pedals on heavy machinery with precision and accuracy.

Endurance to walk and stand for extended periods while performing tasks such as supervising operations, inspecting equipment, and coordinating with team members.

Quick reflexes and hand-eye coordination.

Physically fit.

Pay rate: $25-40 USD an hour
