About the Role:
As a Cook at Concordia Senior Living, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through the preparation of nutritious and delicious meals. Your primary responsibility will be to create a menu that caters to the dietary needs and preferences of our senior residents, ensuring that each meal is both appealing and health-conscious. You will work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation while managing food production efficiently. This position requires a commitment to excellence in food preparation and presentation, as well as the ability to adapt to the unique needs of our community. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in food preparation and cooking in a professional kitchen setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a healthcare or senior living environment.
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and nutrition for seniors.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
- Assist in menu planning and food inventory management to ensure availability of ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service.
- Monitor food quality and presentation, making adjustments as necessary to meet resident preferences.
