  • Oversee supplier performance improvement initiatives, including containment actions, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes, and structured recovery plans.
  • Direct teams responsible for monitoring supplier KPIs (leading and lagging indicators), ensuring measurable progress toward quality and delivery targets.
  • Identify high-risk or high-impact supplier sites and prioritize engagement aligned with procurement and sourcing strategies.
  • Facilitate supplier kick-offs, performance reviews, and executive-level communications to reinforce accountability and expectations.
  • Guide supplier assessments using structured evaluation tools to determine capability, maturity, and readiness for transition or exit from containment phases.
  • Support escalation management and deploy rapid response or tiger teams to stabilize performance during critical disruptions.
  • Provide leadership during supplier transitions (greenfield and brownfield), ensuring seamless scope transfer and sustained operational capability post-transition.

Requirements:
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Bachelors degree with at least 14 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 12 years of experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with casting manufacturing technologies (e.g., sand casting, investment casting); forging experience strongly preferred.
  • At least 5 years of project management experience in greenfield and/or brownfield industrial environments.
  • Minimum 5 years of direct people leadership experience.
  • Strong background in supplier quality, RCCA methodologies, crisis management, and performance improvement within materials/metallurgy domains.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex data sets, manage KPIs, and lead cross-functional improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of aerospace industry standards (e.g., AS9100), APQP processes, Lean/Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or higher preferred).
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel at least 40% to supplier sites; residence in the U.S. Midwest region preferred.

Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range of $186,200 $353,800 USD (based on experience, location, and qualifications).
  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation eligibility (where applicable).
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Generous 401(k) plan with employer match and additional retirement contributions.
  • Minimum of three weeks of vacation for newly hired employees, plus paid holidays.
  • Tuition reimbursement and student loan repayment programs.
  • Life insurance, disability coverage, and optional supplemental insurance plans (pet, home, auto, critical illness, legal, identity protection).
  • Parental leave, adoption assistance, fertility and family planning support.
  • Employee Assistance Program with free counseling sessions.
  • Wellness incentives, virtual healthcare options, and second-opinion medical programs.
  • Remote work flexibility with travel requirements as needed.
