About This Position
Job description
We are looking for, a versatile and experienced Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility of preserving the good condition and functionality of our apartments and property. As well as helping us with apartment renovations as we are a growing company. This position will perform a large variety of maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, etc. Candidates should be professional with a practical mind and an attention to detail. Candidates must be able to work independently and responsibly while observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal of this position is to maintain all apartments, buildings and common areas in the best possible condition while providing outstanding customer service to our residents.
Responsibilities:
Perform basic electrical maintenance of electrical systems including light bulbs, switches, plugs, and breakers
Apartment Renovations
Apartment repairs such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors, cabinets, walls, windows, and building exteriors
Assist in the setup of air conditioners, heaters, water heaters, and other residential systems and conduct repairs when necessary
Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned such as picking up grounds, painting, carpentry, masonry, etc.
Make apartments ready for new move-ins including some remodeling work
Participate in and complete preventative maintenance programs
Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with company standards and expectations
Complete additional duties as required including routine work orders
Complete on-call and emergency maintenance rotation as required
Skills Required:
Must maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents and visitors at all times
Must be able to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with contractors, suppliers and fellow employees
Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions, be organized, and able to complete paperwork digitally as required.
Proven maintenance experience in a residential setting (multi-family is ideal but not required)
Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and other systems
Knowledge of general maintenance processes, methods and troubleshooting
Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
Must have own hand tools (screw drivers, wrenches, drills, etc.). Larger tools will be provided by the company
Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
Must be in good physical condition and strength, capable of lifting up to 50lbs
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with insurance is required - travel between properties will be required using your personal vehicle
Able to read and write in English; high school diploma or equivalent is desired
Compensation:
