Spine Medicine and Surgery of Long Island is a premier, minimally invasive spinal surgery practice providing world-class, cutting-edge spinal care to the Tri-State area. As we continue to expand across Nassau and Suffolk Counties, we are seeking a strategic, creative, and results-driven full-time Public Relations Specialist to elevate our brand presence and strengthen our community impact.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic Public Relations Specialist to lead our external communications and brand visibility efforts. This role requires strong media relationships, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to execute strategic messaging across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will develop and implement public relations strategies that enhance our reputation, support practice growth, and position our physicians as leaders in spine care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive public relations strategies aligned with organizational growth goals
  • Build and maintain relationships with local media outlets, hospitals, and community organizations
  • Draft and distribute press releases, physician spotlights, and thought-leadership content
  • Coordinate community outreach initiatives, events, and sponsorship opportunities
  • Manage brand reputation and assist with crisis communication planning when needed
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine strategic messaging and public positioning
  • Support marketing initiatives related to new office openings, service expansions, and physician milestones
  • Monitor media coverage and track PR performance metrics

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • Strong media relations experience and professional writing skills required
  • Experience working with physicians or healthcare organizations preferred
  • Strategic thinker with strong project management and execution abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across multiple locations in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with digital marketing platforms

Job Details:

  • Hours: Full-time position
