Lobby Attendant at Diverse Concepts, LLC – Gatlinburg, Tennessee

POSITION SUMMARY:

Keeps lobby and public facilities (such as lobby restrooms, telephone area, front desk, and offices) in a neat and clean condition. Public area attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly and address guest requests.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cleans rooms, hallways and restrooms.
• Sweeps carpets.
• Empties ashtrays, urns and all trash cans.
• Polishes furniture and fixtures.
• Vacuums and polishes elevators.
• Keeps the front of the hotel and all public space free from trash.
• Cleans rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom and shampoo machine.
• Washes walls and ceilings, moves and arranges furniture.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors.
• Dusts and polishes metal work.
• Maintains lobby cart, cleaning materials and chemicals.
• Attends daily department stand up meetings.
• Clean and maintain all equipment daily.
• Follow up a special cleaning schedule given by the housekeeping management.
• Report maintenance to supervisor/housekeeping management immediately.
• Comply with Lost and Found policy of the hotel.
• Assist Guest in public areas when required.
• Have good knowledge of all hotel facilities, hours of operation, restaurants, shops and function rooms.
• Post caution signs as and when required.
• Responsible for upkeep of all the equipment in use i.e., vacuum cleaner, mops dry & wet, scrubbing machine.
• Complete special projects and additional tasks as assigned by management.

PREREQUISITES:

• Must be willing to work holidays and weekends.
• Friendly, outgoing personality and professional appearance required.
• Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend with ability to lift, push, and pull.
• Must have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
