Job Description
I. JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Technician supports HUBER Technology’s commitment to quality by ensuring that products meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and regulatory standards. This role is responsible for executing inspection processes throughout fabrication and assembly, identifying non-conformances, and supporting corrective actions.
The Quality Technician plays a key role in maintaining and strengthening the company’s Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program while fostering a culture where quality ownership is shared across all departments. This position works closely with production, engineering, and project management teams to ensure consistent execution and continuous improvement aligned with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES

Quality Inspection and Compliance
• Perform in-process and final inspections at various stages of fabrication and assembly to ensure completeness, dimensional accuracy, and overall product quality
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to validate product conformance
• Utilize visual inspection techniques and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods where applicable
• Monitor production activities for adherence to procedures, identifying and communicating non-conformances in real time
• Ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, regulatory guidelines, and ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems
• Maintain calibration and proper use of inspection and measuring equipment, including identifying and removing non-compliant tools
Quality Reporting, Improvement, and Collaboration
• Document inspection results, defects, and rework activities; maintain accurate quality records within internal systems
• Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues
• Recommend and support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, and enhance product quality, consistency, and performance
• Assist in training production personnel on quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practices
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and project management teams to resolve quality concerns and align on expectations
• Promote a culture of accountability, ownership, and “right the first time” execution
• Support quality audits and contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to procedures and quality requirements
• Identify deviations and non-conformances in real time and communicate findings to appropriate stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with company standards, customer specifications, and applicable regulatory requirements

III. WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting, however, could be exposed to other elements such as dust, noise or other elements on a customer site or the factory floor. In addition to this position may travel to Wastewater Treatment Facilities, where they will be subject to wastewater and/or sludge (Biosolids).
IV. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Light physical demand; ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Must be able to perform work in office and manufacturing floor environments. Requires use of computer
V. POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This role will be based out of the HUBER corporate headquarters in Denver, NC. This role is not eligible for remote work.

This role does not have direct reports
VII. TRAVEL
Some travel required; may need to travel to customer sites
VIII. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or technical certification in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
• 3-5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment with direct quality inspection responsibilities
• Experience performing in-process and final inspections using standard measurement tools
• Familiarity with interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints
• Experience working within a Quality Management System (preferably ISO 9001)
• Prior experience supporting audits or working in regulated or customer-driven quality environments preferred
• Familiarity with metal fabrication and/or welding knowledge
• Familiar with CAD software, preferably CREO
