About This Position
This position performs technical duties in the maintenance of the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
· Plans and schedules maintenance and repair functions to ensure minimal impact on production activities.
· Reviews work orders for completeness, accuracy, and scope.
· Prepares detailed job plans for the maintenance of equipment and facilities.
· Participates in the development of predictive, preventative and condition-based maintenance programs; develops and implements maintenance priority criteria.
· Maintains and updates CMMS data; tracks work orders to completion and prepares maintenance related reports.
· Coordinates construction, maintenance and repair projects; estimates materials and equipment; schedules equipment; evaluates labor and safety requirements; prepares scope of work and work schedules.
· Coordinates CMMS change management, including entering additions, changes and deletions.
· Assists in processing invoices to acquire parts and equipment; coordinates resource planning and scheduling, including labor, contractors, materials, and tools.
· Serves as a technical resource and trainer for work groups; works with supervisors to update Standard Operating Procedures.
· Reviews and reports on completed preventative and predictive work requests; prepares key metrics to reflect efficiency and effectiveness; makes modifications to scheduling as needed.
· Coordinates building security.
· Responds to after-hours emergencies.
· Performs related duties.
Requirements:· Knowledge of work order management principles.
· Knowledge of computerized scheduling and tracking systems.
· Knowledge of repair and maintenance principles related to plant operations, including those related to electrical systems, pumps, motors, wells, reservoirs, etc.
· Knowledge of the basic principles, practices, equipment and materials used in the construction and maintenance of water and wastewater utilities.
· Knowledge of department and city policies and procedures, and federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
· Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.
· Skill in the operation of CMMS software.
· Skill in troubleshooting and resolving a variety of technical issues.
· Skill in the use of job-related tools and equipment.
· Skill in planning, organization, and decision making.
· Skill in oral and written communication.
· Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education.
· Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
· Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
