About This Position
Camp Assistant Instructor
Seeking a high energy, enthusiastic person – who likes working with middle school aged children on STEM related activities. Each day of camp is fast paced, educational and fun for the campers. Through a host of activities, the camp exposes middle school aged students to the variety of career opportunities in Houston’s energy industry.
Duties:
- Assist in the delivery of the lessons under the guidance of the lead instructor. Training will be provided.
- Provide instruction for camp hands-on activities and during lab experiments. Encourage students to be engaged and curious during the activities.
- Perform daily activities in the classroom, computer lab and the science lab to include set up of supplies and breakdown of equipment at the conclusion of the activity.
- Escort camp participants to the designated pickup location when the camp concludes each day. Assist by contacting parents by phone if they do not arrive on time to pick up their student.
- Has punctuality and regular attendance during camp weeks.
Dates/Hours:
Camps are held for 2 weeks in June 2026, June 1-5 and June 8-12
Monday – Thursday, 8:30am -5:30pm, Friday, 8:30am -12pm
Requirements:
College sophomore year level or experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science degree
