About the Role – Billing & Finance Assistant
The Billing & Finance Assistant supports the financial and administrative operations of StrongSteps Behavioral Health programs and services. This position is responsible for assisting with billing preparation, payment tracking, financial documentation, reimbursement monitoring, and administrative financial support related to Health-Related Social Needs (HRSN) services, housing assistance, and other agency programs.
The Billing & Finance Assistant works closely with leadership, compliance staff, housing staff, and care management teams to ensure financial records and supporting documentation are organized, accurate, and compliant with agency and payer requirements.
Responsibilities- Assist with billing preparation and financial record organization
- Track housing assistance payments, invoices, and reimbursement activity
- Maintain organized financial and payment documentation
- Support payment processing and financial reporting activities
- Coordinate with staff regarding missing documentation related to payments or billing
- Assist with invoice tracking, vendor communication, and financial follow-up
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and member information
- Support compliance and audit readiness activities related to billing and payments
- Assist leadership with administrative finance tasks and reporting
- Help maintain accurate electronic financial records and tracking systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience in administrative support, finance, billing, bookkeeping, or healthcare administration preferred
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records
- Comfortable working with confidential financial information
- Basic computer and data entry skills required
- Experience with QuickBooks, spreadsheets, or financial systems preferred
- Knowledge of Medicaid, HRSN, or healthcare billing processes preferred
- Part-Time Position Initially
- Hourly, Non-Exempt
- Starting Pay: $22–$25/hour

The pay range for this role is:
22 - 25 USD per hour(Home Office)
