Job Description

Overview

The Full-Stack Product Engineer will work along a team of offshore developers as we build out the US-based team on a web app and accompanied mobile app, while owning the product decisions around interaction patterns, state management, and the Patient Engagement Agent's conversational UX. This role requires someone who thinks in user journeys and is astute in QA. Experience with agentic engineering.

Job Activities and Responsibilities: The responsibilities listed below are subject to change.

  • Own the patient-facing application end-to-end — architecture, UX patterns, performance, and accessibility
  • Translate clinical workflow requirements (assessment flows, provider interactions, prescription status, check-ins) into intuitive patient-facing interfaces
  • Work directly with team of devs on frontend velocity while maintaining design system consistency and code quality standards
  • Own the migration path from the existing Supabase-backed prototype to the production FHIR/HealthLake data layer on the frontend
  • Build and maintain the component library, design tokens, and frontend testing infrastructure
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure UI accurately reflects pharmacy and clinical workflow requirements
  • Implement frontend observability — error tracking, session replay, performance monitoring, and conversion funnel analytics

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years in full-stack development with strong frontend emphasis, including 2+ years building D2C or patient-facing health applications
  • Expert-level React/Next.js — must demonstrate deep understanding of server components, streaming, state management patterns (Zustand, Jotai, or equivalent), and performance optimization
  • Strong TypeScript proficiency — type-safe API layers, discriminated unions for state modeling, and strict mode as standard practice
  • Experience with conversational or guided-flow UX patterns — chatbot-style interfaces, multi-step assessments, progressive disclosure
  • Mobile-first responsive design expertise — the primary user base accesses via mobile
  • Familiarity with FHIR resource consumption on the frontend (Patient, Observation, MedicationRequest resources) or API integration with healthcare data formats
  • Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) in healthcare or regulated contexts
  • Comfortable working in early-stage environments with ambiguous requirements and rapid iteration cycles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior work integrating AI/LLM-powered features into user-facing products (streaming responses, agent-driven UI updates)
  • Familiarity with telehealth UX patterns — video visit integration, consent flows, e-prescribing status displays
  • Experience with animation and micro-interaction design (Framer Motion, Lottie) for patient engagement features

Physical Requirements:

  • Proficient in using a computer and related equipment, including printers and fax machines.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Effective communication skills via telephone and email.
  • Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds as needed.

Benefits:

  • Health care insurance (medical, dental, vision)
  • Life Insurance
  • Supplemental Insurance
  • PTO
  • 401K matching
  • Sick leave
  • Phone/internet reimbursement
  • Remote work
  • Top of the line machines
