This role is focused on delivering high-quality support to patients through inbound and outbound communications, ensuring clarity, empathy, and resolution in every interaction. You will serve as a key point of contact for billing-related inquiries, complaints, and financial assistance requests, helping patients navigate complex healthcare billing processes. Working in a fast-paced call center environment, you will use multiple systems to document interactions, resolve issues, and provide accurate information. The position requires strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset to ensure a positive service experience. You will also play an important role in supporting financial resolution options such as payment plans and assistance programs. - Handle inbound and outbound calls to support patients with billing inquiries, complaints, and financial requests
- Use multiple systems to research, document, and resolve patient billing issues accurately and efficiently
- Provide clear, empathetic, and patient-friendly communication through phone and electronic channels
- Assist patients in resolving financial responsibilities by collecting payments, setting up payment plans, or explaining assistance programs
- Ensure high performance in productivity, quality standards, and first contact resolution goals
- Collaborate within the Revenue Service Organization to ensure consistent and accurate service delivery
- Promote organizational mission, values, and service standards in all patient interactions
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and resolutions
- Prior experience in customer service, collections, or a call center environment
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills with a customer-first mindset
- Bilingual certification through Alta Language Testing (required)
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and negotiation skills
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in customer service, collections, or healthcare billing environments
- Preferred: Basic understanding of medical billing and insurance processes
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and excellent customer service behaviors
- Competitive hourly pay range: $19.29 – $24.99 (based on experience)
