Position Overview
The Director of Tennis & Pickleball leads all racquet sports programming and operations while creating an environment that reflects The Medallion Club experience. This role oversees instruction, events, staff development, and facility management for both tennis and pickleball. The ideal candidate is professional, member focused, and committed to service, ensuring a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for players of all ages and skill levels. This position plays a key role in upholding club standards, promoting safety, and fostering a strong sense of community within a high‑standards, member focused environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all tennis and pickleball programs, including instruction, clinics, leagues, and special events.
- Deliver a warm, approachable, and professional presence that enhances The Medallion Club experience.
- Recruit, train, and supervise racquet sports staff and teaching professionals, ensuring a commitment to service and consistent adherence to club standards.
- Develop programming that supports players of all levels, encourages participation, and strengthens community engagement.
- Oversee daily facility operations, including court scheduling, maintenance coordination, and safety protocols.
- Provide private and group instruction with a focus on excellence, hospitality, and member experience.
- Collaborate with club leadership to plan seasonal programming, budget needs, and long‑term racquet sports development.
- Engage with members in a professional, attentive manner, addressing questions and feedback with care and solutions‑focused communication.
- Support club‑wide events and cross‑department collaboration to enhance the overall member experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and service‑ready environment across all racquet sports facilities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tennis and/or pickleball program management, preferably within a private club or hospitality‑driven setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a service‑driven team.
- Professional certifications in tennis and/or pickleball instruction (USPTA, PTR, PPR, or equivalent) preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to hospitality, safety, teamwork, and delivering high‑standards member experiences.
