- Translate customer and system-level requirements into detailed hardware and software specifications.
- Perform communications system performance analysis, including link margin, antenna patterns, and RF component evaluations.
- Conduct technical trade studies, risk assessments, and develop mitigation strategies for complex engineering challenges.
- Support supplier and subcontractor management, including documentation review, technical evaluations, and interface coordination.
- Participate in system integration, testing, qualification, and acceptance activities across multiple development phases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, and external partners to ensure technical alignment and successful execution.
- Contribute to technical reviews, design discussions, and system architecture decisions for advanced communications solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience in engineering or related fields.
- Active or ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret clearance.
- Strong experience in airborne military communications systems, including LOS and BLOS technologies (VLF, HF, VHF, UHF, Ku).
- Proven expertise in RF systems, antenna design, waveform performance, and communication link analysis.
- Experience in supplier management, technical documentation, and systems engineering processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in performance modeling and system evaluation.
- Familiarity with model-based systems engineering tools (e.g., Cameo/SysML) and analytical tools such as MATLAB and Excel is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage across technical teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, systems thinking, and ability to manage complex technical environments.
- Competitive salary range from $122,800 to $184,200 depending on experience and qualifications
