Position Summary

The Traffic Control Crew Lead is responsible for the proper setup and placement of traffic control work zone devices. They will oversee the setup , delivery, and installation of various traffic control operations.

Performance, Procedures and Efficiencies

• Understand proper traffic control setup standards.
• Able to build signs with no supervision
• Able to space signs properly without supervision
• Train new employees (OJT)
• Complete all documentation & paperwork
• Ability to designate task to members of your crew.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work independent
• Effectively communicate with contractors and customers.
• Understand how to read TxDot TCP and TCP in general.
• Meet Physical Requirements
• Able to follow direction
• Dependable & punctual
• Safety minded
• Use of small power tools
• Use of Hand tools

Experience, Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Two (2) years in Traffic Control
• Must have a valid driver’s license
