This role is a senior technical leadership position responsible for architecting and delivering complex, full-stack software solutions across multiple client engagements. The Lead Software Engineer will drive technical strategy, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance of modern software systems spanning frontend, backend, mobile, and cloud platforms. You will mentor engineering teams, contribute hands-on to production code, and partner with clients and internal stakeholders to achieve measurable business outcomes. - Serve as the technical architect across multiple client engagements, ensuring solutions align with business goals and measurable outcomes
- Lead architecture design and development across frontend, backend, mobile, and cloud platforms, maintaining high standards for scalability, maintainability, and performance
- Contribute hands-on to implementation by writing production-quality code, establishing best practices, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Mentor and guide engineering teams, reviewing code, providing feedback, and fostering professional growth
- Partner with clients, product managers, and commercial teams to scope, estimate, and deliver solutions
- Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies early to protect project outcomes
- Define and enforce standards for testing, observability, logging, and deployment to ensure predictable and high-quality delivery
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of professional software development experience, with 3+ years in a technical leadership role
- Proven track record delivering full-stack systems from concept to production, maintaining large-scale public-facing applications
- Expertise in frontend technologies: React, Vite, TypeScript, REST APIs, WebSockets, Progressive Web Apps
- Strong mobile development experience: React Native, Native iOS and Android, Expo, Kotlin, Tailwind
- Backend and cloud experience in Java, Node.js, Python, AWS (Lambda, ECS, RDS, CloudWatch), and Azure preferred
- Proficient with testing frameworks (Playwright, Cypress) and observability tools (DataDog, logging, request tracing)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Terraform or Pulumi, and database systems (Postgres, Redis, DynamoDB)
- Strong client-facing skills with executive-level communication and presentation ability
- Skilled in mentoring teams, leading complex projects, and delivering high-quality outcomes under pressure

- Competitive base salary: USD $175,000–$185,000, plus up to 15% variable compensation
