Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze patient medical records and information for Medicaid billing accuracy
• Assign appropriate Medicaid billing codes to diagnoses and procedures
• Enter billing information into the system and generate Medicaid claims
• Verify Medicaid coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for medical services
• Follow up on unpaid Medicaid claims, resolve discrepancies, and handle denials
• Collaborate with the medical team to ensure proper documentation and coding practices
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing any Medicaid billing inquiries or concerns

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in Medicaid billing or coding is required
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, Medicaid coding systems, and billing procedures
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software
• Familiarity with Medicaid collection processes and insurance claim submission
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
