Job Summary
The Compensation & Benefits Specialist performs a wide variety of projects and/or tasks associated with benefits, compensation and leave compliance. The role is the primary point of contact for Burlington Operations employees, leaders, and benefit providers. This role will partner with the HR Business Partner and Corporate Human Resource Department to support Virginia and Pennsylvania operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Functions as the liaison between benefit providers and employees; advises employees on eligibility, coverage, and other benefit matters. Maintains benefits records within HRIS.
· Administers benefit enrollments, terminations, qualified life events. Processes required changes
through payroll and benefit providers to ensure timely accurate record keeping and proper
deductions.
· Leave of absence and FMLA administration specific to Virginia and Pennsylvania operations.
· Assist with annual open benefits enrollment, distribute and communicate benefit changes to
employees.
· Assist with employees with benefits enrollment into HRIS system.
· Maintain employee eligibility in 401k administration system.
· Support the transition of HRIS, Processes, Benefits to corporate's HRIS, Handbook, Policies and
benefits.
· Partner with leaders to assure accurate job descriptions. Analyzes market data to recommend
salary adjustments.
· Administer various types of employee compensation and benefit programs reconcile and process benefits billings and advise employees of changes and developments related to
benefits including eligibility, coverage, and provisions
· Ensure prompt and accurate compliance with benefit plans and programs with complete records,
reporting, and other documentation required by federal, state, and provider rules, regulations, and policies
Maintain knowledge of economic conditions, labor market, and other factors related to ensuring
the organization provides competitive and reasonable benefits and compensation scales and
structures
· Facilitate accurate and timely delivery of employer contributions and employee payroll deductions
to payroll, carriers, and plan administrators
· Provides guidance and support to employees regarding compensation and benefits inquiries.
· Maintains accurate records and prepares reports related to compensation and benefits metrics.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
· Bachelor's degree in business with an emphasis on Human Resources or equivalent combination
of education and minimum of 3 years of experience in Benefits Administration and Leave Administration.
· Experience with a variety of benefits administration including but not limited self-billing, COBRA,
and Leave of Absence Administration.
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
· Must be proficient in ADP Workforce Now. Experience is UKG Ready is a plus.
