Aquatic Control Inc. is a privately owned lake and pond management company with our home office in Seymour Indiana and satellite offices in Valparaiso, IN; Evansville, IN; Truesdale, MO; Jackson, TN; Williamsville, IL; Elizabethtown, KY; Elkhart, IA; Knoxville, TN; Davenport, IA; and Chicago, IL. We are actively growing and need to add a Seasonal Aquatic Biologist at our Seymour, Indiana location. Start date: May 2026
The Position:
Job duties include learning and assisting with:
• Conducting vegetation surveys
• Creation of vegetation survey maps, data files, and reports
• Completing herbicide treatments for management of invasive and nuisance vegetation
• Analyzing water and sediment samples in the laboratory
• Creation of laboratory data files and reports
• Collection of field data and water samples for various projects
• Completing applications of phosphorus inactivation products (e.g., EutroSORB G, EutroSORB WC, aluminum chlorohydrate, Phoslock)
• Completing applications of USEPA-registered algaecides for harmful algal bloom (HAB) management projects

Compensation and Benefits:
- Time and a half-hourly rate for over 40 hours

- Bachelor’s degree in fisheries/aquatic science, agriculture, or a natural resources-related field
- Insurable Driving Record
- Pass Pre-Employment Drug Screening, DOT Physical, Background Check
- Must have a clean driving record
- Comfortable Driving Truck & Boat Trailer Combination
- Basic mechanical ability (experience in outboard motor operation is a plus)
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment (physical labor required)
- Ability to work an average of 50-60 hours per week
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
