  • Supervise and support finance staff, fostering performance management, training, and professional development.
  • Review and approve procurement activities, reimbursements, accounts payable/receivable, and petty cash management.
  • Monitor grant requirements and ensure proper allocation, tracking, and reporting of restricted funds.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings and strong internal controls.
  • Manage financial systems, reporting tools, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar financial leadership or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
  • Experience working with financial systems such as MIP or similar ERP/reporting tools preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with Head Start programs, grants management, or nonprofit/government-funded environments preferred.
  • Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and operate in a remote environment.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary starting at $105,000.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Remote work flexibility with limited travel (up to 10% for meetings and events).
  • Opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization focused on early childhood education and equity.
  • Professional growth within a collaborative and values-driven environment.
