About the Role
Join Hacksmith as an Assembly and Quality Control (QC) Technician where you will be responsible for the hands-on assembly of the Smith Blade, a precision-built, premium product manufactured in-house. This role requires attention to detail, consistency, and pride in craftsmanship. Every Smith blade you assemble will be used by a customer and reflects directly on the Hacksmith brand.
This is a production role with real standards and real accountability. Speed matters, but quality always comes first.
What You’ll DoAssembly
- Assemble Smith Blade components according to documented work instructions
- Use hand tools, fixtures, manufacturing equipment and assembly aids correctly and safely
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- May involve setting up and operating production equipment.
- Packaging fully assembled products
Quality Control
- Inspect your own work before passing it forward
- Identify and report defects, damage, or missing components
- Handle precision parts carefully to avoid cosmetic or functional damage
- Follow traceability and documentation requirements
General
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and safe
- Following safety protocols and procedures.
- Collaborating with team members to resolve issues.
- Contributing to process improvement initiatives.
- 1+ years of Assembly experience (or equivalent) and/or some schooling
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve effectively and efficiently
- Experience in manufacturing or assembly preferred
- Comfortable working with hand tools and small components
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Willingness to learn and accept feedback
- Ability to stand, work with hands, and perform repetitive tasks
- Experience in a startup environment
- High Volume work experience
- Experience in a factory or shop environment

You must be legally allowed to work in Canada and be local or willing to relocate. This role is based in Cambridge, Ontario and telecommuting is not an option.
Salary Range:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour depending on experience.
