About This Position
The Architecture Production Specialist is an organized, detail-oriented professional with strong competence in reading and interpreting floor plans, community requirements, and municipal regulations.
The specialist must be proficient in plan modification, model-based coordination, and maintain accuracy across internal plan updates and jurisdictional requirements. Strong communication skills are essential to support consistency and efficiency in the permitting and home-starts process.
Requirements: JOB RESPONSIBILITIES• Communicate effectively with internal teams and coordinators throughout the permitting and plan-production process.
• Learn new architectural software platforms as needed.
• Maintain and manage organized filing systems for efficient data and plan retrieval.
• Assist with special projects beyond standard daily responsibilities.
• Ensure high accuracy while adhering to Architecture standards, building codes, drafting standards, and residential construction practices.
• Collaborate and provide support to other team members as needed.
COMPETENCIES• Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint (Level 1 proficiency).
• Experience with HighArc, Revit and/or SketchUp is a plus.
• Understanding of AutoCAD Architecture principles (practical knowledge preferred; daily use not required).
• Ability to learn new plan-management or modeling software.
• Strong communicator, both written and verbal.
• Adaptable and open to evolving processes.
• Strong problem-solving capability.
• Customer-focused mindset.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS• Ability to perform all essential duties with strong organizational skills and construction knowledge.
• Proficiency in HighArc or experience with Revit and/or SketchUp for residential plan development, design modifications, and 3D visualization a plus.
• Understanding of AutoCAD Architecture concepts such as walls, windows, doors, and viewports (conceptual familiarity; practical use not required).
• Associate degree in CAD, Architectural Technology, or equivalent technical training a plus.
• Knowledge of residential construction and construction terminology.
• Familiarity with construction documents, drafting standards, and architectural best practices.
• Ability to integrate community and city requirements into production plans.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid understanding of plot plans, foundation plans, floor plans, and wind-bracing principles.
• Local travel to communities for prototype and community reviews required
