The Security Officer oversees and enhances safety and security measures within our organization. This position is responsible for monitoring surveillance cameras, conducting security checks and patrols, managing visitor check-ins and documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety directives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Monitor surveillance cameras to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.

· Promptly respond to any incidents or unusual activity observed on surveillance feeds.

· Conduct safety and security checks of all interior and exterior office space, including vehicles and other properties permanently or temporarily placed on Tower Hill property.

· Manage the check-in process for guests and vendors, including verifying identification and recording necessary details.

· Escort guests and vendors to their designated locations within the premises as requested.

· Maintain logs of all visitors, including time of arrival, purpose of visit, and time of departure.

· Maintain compliance with all safety protocols, special orders, post orders, and security directives pertaining to safety and security of Tower Hill Insurance Group.

· Maintain first aid kits and account for the fire extinguishers throughout the building.

· Safely operate security equipment and vehicles.

· Oversee the destruction of sensitive corporate documents.

· Maintain flexibility in scheduling to accommodate safety and security needs, including availability for overtime and varied shifts.

· For evening and weekend shifts, complete a daily situation report detailing evening activities.

· Complete and generate the BOLO Form – “Be On the Look Out” form when necessary.

· Perform security and safety duties in any type of weather or adverse condition.

· Maintain proper company uniform.

· Patrol premises as needed.

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED required.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience required.

CERTIFICATIONS

CPR/AED/First Aid certifications by the American Red Cross and/or OSHA – 10 preferred.

LICENSES

Security Officer (Class D) License required.

Valid Driver’s License required.
