Orbital Welder at Plasma-Therm LLC – Livermore, California

Job description:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Orbital Welder to join CHA Industries, the company that invented the Mark 50 and Planetary Fixturing!

Responsibilities:

• Perform high-purity orbital welding of stainless-steel tubing and components in a cleanroom setting.
• Set up, operate, and maintain orbital welding equipment, including power supplies and weld heads.
• Prepare tubing and fittings by cutting, facing, deburring, and cleaning to meet specifications.
• Assurance of clean equipment and checking task execution for possible errors.
• Participate in process improvement efforts and team collaboration.
• Perform additional duties as required to meet project timelines and client needs.

Requirements:

• Proficiency using orbital weld systems (e.g., AMI, Swagelok, or equivalent).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Industry-specific knowledge and experience is a plus
• Working knowledge of cleanroom operations or contamination control best practices.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for long hours
• High school diploma or GED required; welding or technical certification preferred
• Openness to learning

Job Types: Full-time

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Livermore, CA 94551: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work

Experience:

• Orbital Welding: 2 years (Preferred)
