About This Position
Summary:
WMCHealth is launching a new Incidental Findings Program focused on the timely identification and management of unexpected findings in the lung, pancreas, and liver. To ensure the program’s success, we are recruiting an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, who will play a pivotal role in conducting patient visits, in both an autonomous and shared capacity, along with reviewing imaging results, triaging findings, and communicating directly with patients regarding the need for follow-up care. The APP will serve as the central point of contact, coordinating with primary care providers and specialty teams to facilitate timely evaluations, appointments, and referrals. With the launch of this program, WMCHealth looks to enhance patient safety, improve care coordination, reduce delays in diagnosis, and ensure that incidental findings are addressed efficiently and effectively, reinforcing the health system’s commitment to proactive, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
- Performing medical evaluations, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and consultations for diverse patients.
- Responding to, managing and delivering direct patient care as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must be board certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner and possess, or be able to obtain, an applicable NYS License.
- Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of ambulatory experience in surgery or medicine, although motivated new graduates will be considered.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
