We are seeking a Settlement Department Legal Assistant II to support our attorneys and clients in all stages of the settlement process. This role involves direct communication with clients and attorneys, as well drafting and filing documents in the e-filing portal. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Reviewing Settlement Agreements.
• Document management through CLIO.
• Assist in case management.
• Prepare outgoing emails to clients with updates.
• Process Settlement Agreements from receipt to closure of case.
• Draft and file pleading through the e-filing portal.
• Answer incoming calls providing updates to clients.
• Prepare quarterly audits of files.
• Manage all legal office administrative responsibilities, including sending emails, making copies, reviewing payment status, and organizing file systems.
Qualifications
• 1+ year of consumer litigation experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Clio case management software preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe, and similar software.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
