About This Position

Analyst, Enterprise Data Integration

More than one million people in the United States today are fighting blood cancer. While a traditional allogeneic stem cell transplant has been the best hope for many, the transplant itself can prove fatal or lead to serious conditions, such as graft vs. host disease. Orca Bio is a late-stage biotechnology company redefining the transplant process by developing next-generation cell therapies with the goal of providing significantly better survival rates with dramatically fewer risks. With our purified, high-precision investigational cell therapies we hope to not only replace patients' blood and immune systems with healthy ones, but also restore their lives.

Reporting into our Head of Business Systems and Architecture, the Enterprise Data Integration Analyst is a hands-on technical role focused on building and maintaining Orca Bios data ecosystem. While this role initially executes commercial data tasks, the long-term mission is to serve as the primary lead responsible for the transition to a centralized enterprise data warehouse. You will be the "boots on the ground" working cross-functionally with system owners to identify technical integration methods, define field-level specifications, and ensure data integrity across the organization. This is a role for a technical executor who enjoys the granular work of data mapping and system synchronization.
Responsibilities
  • Data Integration & Technical Execution:
  • System Mapping: Work directly with system owners to document data flows and identify specific integration methods (APIs, Flat Files, ETL) for the enterprise warehouse.
  • Master Data Maintenance: Execute the day-to-day management of master data records to ensure alignment between commercial, clinical, and corporate systems.
  • Warehouse Foundation & Validation: Actively participate in the build-out of a centralized data repository by performing data cleansing, normalization, and validation of incoming data streams.
  • Technical Specifications: Draft and maintain detailed data dictionaries and integration specifications that bridge the gap between business needs and IT execution.
  • Data Stewardship & Quality Control:
  • Integrity Audits: Perform regular "health checks" on data pipelines to identify and resolve synchronization errors between platforms.
  • Data Governance Execution: Implement and enforce standardized naming conventions and data entry protocols across different functional teams to ensure "clean" data at the source.
  • Issue Resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting data discrepancies, working cross-functionally to root-cause and fix integration breaks.
  • Functional Reporting & Support:
  • Tool Deployment: Build and maintain the technical backend for commercial dashboards and field analytics tools, ensuring they pull from verified, governed data sources.
  • KPI Logic Management & Reporting: Translate business performance metrics into technical logic within our BI tools, powering automated reports that can be periodically pulled and disseminated within commercial leadership team.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Provide technical data support to Sales Operations, Marketing, and Market Access to ensure their evolving reporting needs are met without compromising the enterprise data structure.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Technical Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in Data Stewardship, Data Integration, or as a Technical Data Analyst.
  • Data Manipulation Skills: Proficiency in data querying and transformation logic (e.g., SQL, Python, or similar scripting/tool-based methods).
  • Integration Expertise: Proven experience managing system integrations and working with ETL/ELT tools to move data between disparate platforms.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Experience working within AWS environments to manage or move data. Familiarity with AWS Lambda for automating data workflows is a significant plus.
  • Detail Orientation: Proven ability to document complex technical specifications and data mappings with high precision.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Experience working directly with different department "system owners" to extract data requirements and integration points.
Preferred Traits
  • The "Detail Detective": You enjoy finding the "why" behind a data discrepancy and fixing the underlying integration issue.
  • Process-Driven: You prefer building a repeatable, documented process over a one-time manual fix.
  • Execution-First: You are motivated by the tangible progress of building a data foundation from the ground up.
The anticipated annual salary range for this job is based on prior experience in the role/industry, education, location, internal equity, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
